Work has begun to replace the old portacabin with a permanent and accessible welfare building.  This will make a huge improvement to the kitchen and toilet facilities for our volunteers and young people.

There are lots of ways you can help with this project – we are asking our supporters to help with fundraising activities, and we would also greatly appreciate offers of help to complete the construction work.  If you can offer any help or advice with regards to building, planning or supplies please get in touch.

We are gradually raising the funds we need to make this exciting project a reality, but we are not there yet.  If you would like to make a donation to our Big Build fund you can do so through the following link:

In addition to the amazing individual donations we have received so far, we would also like to thank the following bodies for their support:

Garfield Weston Foundation have made a pledge to support completion of the project
Bernard Sunley Foundation have made a pledge to support completion of the project
Our sincere thanks go to Chris , Peter, Kevin and Tony at Northwest Demolition Ltd for giving up their Saturday morning to help us take the first step towards our new amenity block. We are not sorry to see the old Portacabin go, and they really worked hard to safely demolish and remove it, clearing our site ready for the new building.
Viridor Credits have provided significant funding through the Landfill Communities Fund. With this grant in place we are now able to commence work on replacing the old facilities.
Great Sankey Parish Council have kindly contributed to our fundraising – we are grateful for this support from the local community.
While Asda’s Green Token Giving scheme has been suspended this year, the Asda Foundation recently made a kind donation to support our cause.
We are grateful to Bellway Homes for their donation to support our project.
Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
