2025 Fundraising

Thank you to everyone who has supported the groups fundraising efforts in 2025.

We kicked off 2025 with our biggest ever Easter Egg Hunt at Sankey Valley Park which was supported by the Land Trust. This special event raised over £1700 for the group. On the day we welcomed hundreds of visitors who took part in the hunt, plus enjoyed the always popular chocolate tombola, cake sale and bouncy castle.

This was rapidly followed by our first ever Paint & Sip event which was hosted by Dani from Paint & Sip by Dani. We are looking forward to hosting more of these in the future. Thank you to the lovely people who joined us and helped raise a total of £350.

Each year we host our annual Spring Plant Sale which is kindly supported by Woodend Nursery and is team effort by 5/6 Scout groups in the local area who deliver plants to homes across the WA5 postcode area. This year the sale was overseen by our very own Ian Skilling who expertly organised hundreds of orders for thousands of plants! Raising over £1000 for the 10th Warrington Scouts alone, this event was a big success!

Then in the Autumn/Winter term we raised over £2000 through our annual Winter Plant Sale, Christmas Raffle and with the return of our Christmas market including our always popular chocolate tombola, hosted at the Scout Hunt alongside the artisan market hosted at the Woodlands pub across the road.

With over 25 prizes up for grabs our top prizes were: £100 cash, British Airways Wine Flyer mixed case of wine, £50 San Lorenzo voucher, a family ticket to see Warrington Wolves, £20 Bombay 8 voucher, £15 Artful Potter voucher and a Tropic Skincare hamper donated by friend of the group Tropic with Andrea. Plus lots, lots more!

We are already planning for 2026, so keep your eyes peeled for our next event!

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did at our Easter Egg hunt in Sankey Valley Park in April 2025! We will be back for 2026!
Thank you to everyone who booked a Christmas Tree disposal through us – we hope to do this again next year.
Another Christmas Raffle has now been drawn, thank you for all the prizes donated, we couldn’t do this without them!
The Winter Plants were another successful campaign for us, we look forward to working with Woodend Nursery again soon.
Our second ever Christmas Market went well, with a popular chocolate tombola, tea room and several visiting stall holders – we look forward to seeing you again next year!
Congratulations to all the winners of our first Christmas Raffle – local businesses had donated some amazing prizes!
Our Winter Plant Sale has now come to a close for 2022. Staff at the nursery are now preparing the orders ready for collection/delivery on 3rd Dec.
Our first Christmas market was a great success, with 12 stall holders, chocolate tombola and refreshments all on sale. We were also took the opportunity to launch our Christmas raffle and promote our winter plant sale. It was great to be able to open our doors to the public and meet some of our neighbours and previous cubs/scouts.
We were one of the selected charities to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
