10th Warrington Scout Group Fundraising

We continue to raise funds to support all our youth groups and cover big purchases such as camping equipment and maintenance to the scout hut facilities.  If you have any questions or would like to help with our fundraising please contact fundraising@10thwarringtonscouts.org.uk.

Current Opportunities

  • Winter Plants are back! Order your festive cheer through our website or at our stall in The Woodlands car park on 16th November.
  • Come and see us at the Christmas market at the Woodlands pub on 16th November to support our Christmas Raffle with big CASH prizes!
  • We will have a chocolate tombola and will be drawing our raffle at the Christmas market at the Woodlands pub on 21st December.
  • After Christmas, we will again be offering our Christmas Tree collection service. You can Book a collection for 4th/5th January through our online shop.
  • There are several more ways you can help us raise funds through cashback on your shopping at many retailers, including Amazon, Argos and AO.com (those are just the ones beginning with A!). Visit our Free Fundraising Page for more details.

  • Easter Event We’re hoping to arrange another egg hunt in Sankey Valley Park on Easter Sunday.
  • 100 Club. We are looking at staring a 100 club to boost the group’s funds – if you have experience of operating one of these, please get in touch.

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did at our Easter Egg hunt in Sankey Valley Park this year.
Thank you to everyone who booked a Christmas Tree disposal through us – we hope to do this again next year.
Another Christmas Raffle has now been drawn, thank you for all the prizes donated, we couldn’t do this without them!
The Winter Plants were another successful campaign for us, we look forward to working with Woodend Nursery again soon.
Our second ever Christmas Market went well, with a popular chocolate tombola, tea room and several visiting stall holders – we look forward to seeing you again next year!
Congratulations to all the winners of our first Christmas Raffle – local businesses had donated some amazing prizes!
Our Winter Plant Sale has now come to a close for 2022. Staff at the nursery are now preparing the orders ready for collection/delivery on 3rd Dec.
Our first Christmas market was a great success, with 12 stall holders, chocolate tombola and refreshments all on sale. We were also took the opportunity to launch our Christmas raffle and promote our winter plant sale. It was great to be able to open our doors to the public and meet some of our neighbours and previous cubs/scouts.
We were one of the selected charities to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
In partnership with several scouts who were raising funds to attend the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea next year, we hosted a gin and prosecco bar at Penketh Carnival.
The return of our Afternoon Tea in April 2022 was a great success and we hope to do it all again next year.  Many thanks go to our kind donors at Greencore foods, Asda, Tesco in Penketh and Roberts Bakery, not to mention the generosity of our parent helpers and bakers.
Thank you to everyone who supported our winter plant sale again in 2021.  It is proving to be a worthwhile fundraiser for us, so we hope to be back again next year with more Christmas wreaths, Poinsettias and other Christmas themed plants and decorations.
During autumn 2021 we participated in the Tesco Community Grant Scheme.
Between 5th and 15th April 2021 our scout section walked the length of the UK to help our fundraising effort.  They completed the challenge ahead of schedule, so they kept on walking until the 15th and racked up a further 109 miles – well done to all of you.
As part of our fundraising drive, we are preparing to take orders for these stylish scout themed night lights for £20 each.

They comprise a perspex plaque with a multi coloured light base and colour controls.  Battery/USB (5V) powered.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
