10th Warrington Scout Group Fundraising

We continue to raise funds to support all our youth groups and cover big purchases such as camping equipment and maintenance to the scout hut facilities.  If you have any questions or would like to help with our fundraising please contact fundraising@10thwarringtonscouts.org.uk.

  • Exciting News! Some members of our scouts section will be fundraising throughout 2024 to fund a trip to Norway.  Core fundraising for the group will continue, but we will also be helping them with some of their events too.

Our Winter Plant Sale has now come to a close for 2022. Staff at the nursery are now preparing the orders ready for collection/delivery on 3rd Dec.
Our first Christmas market was a great success, with 12 stall holders, chocolate tombola and refreshments all on sale. We were also took the opportunity to launch our Christmas raffle and promote our winter plant sale. It was great to be able to open our doors to the public and meet some of our neighbours and previous cubs/scouts.
We were one of the selected charities to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
In partnership with several scouts who were raising funds to attend the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea next year, we hosted a gin and prosecco bar at Penketh Carnival.
The return of our Afternoon Tea in April 2022 was a great success and we hope to do it all again next year.  Many thanks go to our kind donors at Greencore foods, Asda, Tesco in Penketh and Roberts Bakery, not to mention the generosity of our parent helpers and bakers.
Thank you to everyone who supported our winter plant sale again in 2021.  It is proving to be a worthwhile fundraiser for us, so we hope to be back again next year with more Christmas wreaths, Poinsettias and other Christmas themed plants and decorations.
During autumn 2021 we participated in the Tesco Community Grant Scheme.
Between 5th and 15th April 2021 our scout section walked the length of the UK to help our fundraising effort.  They completed the challenge ahead of schedule, so they kept on walking until the 15th and racked up a further 109 miles – well done to all of you.
As part of our fundraising drive, we are preparing to take orders for these stylish scout themed night lights for £20 each.

They comprise a perspex plaque with a multi coloured light base and colour controls.  Battery/USB (5V) powered.
