Scouts

Hello, we are the 10th Warrington Scout Troop.

Fun, exciting, adventurous, and friendly are just four of the words that can be used to describe our section.  We currently have 30 Scouts, 4 leaders, 2 Young Leaders, and 1 Scout dog called Dexter, in the troop.

We pride ourselves on the diverse and exciting programme of Scouting activities which we deliver.  We ensure that our Scouts take part in a wide range of activities to help them reach their full Scouting potential.  It’s not about being the best in our group, it’s about being the best you can be!

We place a lot of emphasis on teamwork, friendship, and fun.  That’s why we keep our Scouts coming back week-on-week!

The Scout section is for boys and girls between the ages of 10½ and 14 years old.  Although if a child is joining who is not already in our Cubs section, then they can join from 10 years old.

We meet every Thursday from 7pm to 9pm (during school term time), at our Scout Hut on Highfield Avenue (next to The Woodlands Pub) in Great Sankey.

Some of our recent adventures include:

  • Winter camp at Forest Camp in Cheshire
  • Caving underground in the mines at Alderley Edge
  • Delamere Forest day hike
  • Blackfoot Hike
  • Sailing at Fidlers Ferry
  • Abseiling at Millers Dale
  • Kayaking at Grappenhall
  • Back to basics camp near Blackburn

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
