Scouts Newsletter – November 2020

Bye-bye face to face meetings for (hopefully) a short while!

We thoroughly enjoyed the face to face meeting with the Scouts, hope they all did too.  Was great to be together, have a laugh, and learn some new skills.  The scouts were, as always, impeccably behaved.  They were a credit to our group.

The sessions at The Dream were great fun, some of the scouts refreshed their knowledge on grid references, whilst others were taught how to do it for the first time.  We even taught one of our lovely parent helpers how to do it!  Well done Nicola (Melissa and Antony’s Mum) you are ace!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
